Melink Corp. and Ohio-based solar racking manufacturer RBI Solar Inc. have completed a 2.15 MW fixed, ground-mounted solar project at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio.

RBI says its structural engineers and project managers considered the local environmental and site conditions to provide a complete racking solution. RBI took into account module dimensions, soil conditions, seismic zoning and meteorological considerations when designing the system. The crew installed over 1,000 posts to support 8,792 modules.

‘We ran into some adverse winter weather, but RBI was able to step up and finish the job,’ says Colin Derhammer, senior design engineer at Melink.

RBI Solar has engineers on staff that are licensed in all 50 states and offers complete design, high-tech manufacturing, nationwide installation and technical support.
