American Solar Direct (ASD), a residential solar energy provider in California, has appointed Kevin Bauer CEO.
Having served as ASD’s president since 2013, Bauer has over 25 years of experience across the renewable energy, private equity and investment banking industries, the company says.
“It has been an honor to help lead ASD over the last three years in our mission to inspire the adoption of solar power and change the way Americans generate and buy their electricity,” said Bauer. “I’m proud of the company we have built and confident we will continue to build upon its strong history of success as we move forward and bring the ‘ASD movement’ to communities that value energy independence through home solar ownership.”
Another addition to the executive portfolio is the appointment of Darren Cruickshank to interim chief financial officer. Cruickshank comes to ASD from Adenium Energy Capital, a Dubai-based solar developer and investor that provided funding for ASD earlier this year. Adenium has been funding large-scale solar projects in the Middle East and Asia; ASD was its first U.S. investment, says ASD.
