Amtech Launches New Ion Implant, PECVD Solar Products

Amtech Systems Inc., a supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the manufacture of solar cells and other products, says its Chinese subsidiary, Kingstone Semiconductor, has developed a new ion implant system.

In addition, Tempress Systems – another Amtech subsidiary – has introduced a new tube-type batch plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) product. According to the companies, Tempress has drawn on its extensive expertise with diffusion batch processing and PECVD development to bring to market this new product, which is expected to double the size of the solar market Tempress serves.
