Austin Energy Building Local Commercial Solar Installation

0

Austin Energy is collaborating with locally based solar manufacturing company HelioVolt on a commercial solar installation in Austin, Texas.

Austin Energy will own the 12.4 kW system, which is expected to deliver 16.125 MWh of electricity annually into the grid, and will pay nonprofit Yellow Bike Project $350 annually for the leased space atop the organization's roof.

The installation will be built using HelioVolt's thin-film solar modules, which are composed of copper indium gallium selenide.
