Reno, Nev.-based nonprofit Black Rock Solar has inaugurated a 250 kW solar system at Rite of Passage Silver State Academy in Yerington, Nev. The array will provide electricity to the school for decades, saving it more than $32,000 annually, according to Black Rock Solar.
The organization says it has now completed 52 photovoltaic installations totaling 2.5 MW across Nevada. The projects include 18 arrays built for schools and colleges.
