Canadian Solar Inc. says that its wholly owned subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., has completed the sale of the 9 MW Aria solar power plant, which is valued at over $47.2 million, to One West Holdings Ltd., an affiliate of Concord Green Energy Inc.

The plant is located in the Township of Elmvale, Ontario, and it consists of 48,528 Canadian Solar MaxPower CS6X-300/310P PV modules.

According to Canadian Solar, the Aria plant will generate approximately 15,956 MWh of clean solar energy per year and 277,754 MWh over 20 years. The system will displace 191,526 metric tons of carbon dioxide during its 20-year lifetime – the equivalent of taking approximately 40,321 cars off the road for one year.

Shawn Qu, chairman and CEO of Canadian Solar, commented, ‘This is the fourth project we have delivered to Concord Green Energy and will be an addition to the portfolio of projects we are providing operations and maintenance services on.’
