Connecticut Town Issues RFP For Up To 9 MW Of Municipal Solar

The Town of Rocky Hill, Conn., is seeking sealed proposals to lease up to 61.4 acres of town land for the development, construction and interconnection to the utility distribution system of up to 9 MW of ground-mounted photovoltaic generation on the site.

The site is located on Old Forge Rd. in the southeast section of town, with direct access to all utilities and local and state roads. The site is to be leased to the proposer by the town.Â

The town expects that land will be leased and the project will be financed, designed, constructed, commissioned, operated, maintained and de-commissioned, pursuant to the terms and conditions of a contract agreement between the town and the proposer. Any contracts executed under the request for proposals (RFP) is contingent upon approval of the Town Council.
