Dow Jones & Co. plans to construct a 4.1 MW solar-power installation to generate energy for its corporate offices in central New Jersey. The plant will be located at the company's 200-acre campus on U.S. Route 1 in South Brunswick, N.J.
The design calls for more than 13,000 solar panels covering nearly 230,000 square feet of parking space on the campus. At peak performance, the solar installation will be capable of supplying half the site's energy needs.
Dow Jones intends to finance the solar energy system in part through Public Service Enterprise Group's loan program.
