Dominion Issues RFP For Virginia And North Carolina

0

Dominion, one of the U.S.'s largest energy producers, is seeking proposals for renewable energy projects as part of the company's commitment to meet ambitious renewable electricity sales goals established by Virginia and North Carolina.

The company has issued a request for proposals for projects in development or early construction that will generate electricity using wind, solar, falling water, sustainable biomass, waste, wave motion, tidal or geothermal energy. The projects must be located in Virginia, North Carolina or elsewhere in the PJM Interconnection area, which would allow the electricity to be transported to Virginia and North Carolina. Dominion says it is interested in project ownership interests or the purchase of renewable energy credits.

All proposals are due to Dominion by 5 p.m. Eastern time on Feb. 1, 2008. Proposals and requests for information should be directed to: Scott Francis, Business Development, Dominion Resources Services Inc., 120 Tredegar St., Richmond, VA 23219. He also can be contacted by e-mail at Scott.B.Francis@dom.com, by telephone at (804) 819-2672 or fax at (804) 819-2219.

A copy of the request for proposals and other information about Dominion's renewable energy portfolio can be found at www.dom.com.
