Tigo Energy, provider of SmartModule technology for photovoltaic projects, says it has received certification from TUV Rheinland Group for embedding its junction box in PV modules for North America and Europe.

This certification means that Tigo Energy technology can be integrated into solar panels and become available for purchase directly from leading module manufacturers, the company explains. Integration means no additional installation costs, and reduced shipping, labor and maintenance.

Over the course of two years, Tigo Energy coordinated a joint engineering effort with several junction box and module manufacturers, executing product testing to ensure high reliability, safety and performance.
