Dow Marketing Solar Shingles In Delaware And Hawaii

0

Dow Chemical Co. subsidiary Dow Solar is making its Powerhouse solar shingles available commercially in Delaware and Hawaii. The system is already available in 15 other U.S. states, the District of Columbia and Canada.

The company is positioning the solar shingles as an alternative to rack-mounted solar panels for residential rooftop installations. Powerhouse is certified as both a roofing and solar product. The system package includes design services, an inverter, the utility interconnection and a Web-based monitoring system for the homeowner.

In Hawaii, Green Path Technologies will offer Powerhouse to residents of all major islands, partnering with a local roofer. In Delaware, G. Fedale Roofing & Siding Contractors, CMI Solar Electric and Yencer Builders have been authorized as certified installers.
