Welspun Renewables Completes 52 MW Plant In India Under Public-Private Partnership

Welspun Renewables has commissioned a 52 MW solar power facility in Baramati, India.

The facility consists of 169,520 photovoltaic modules supplied by Trina Solar and ReneSola. The inverters are 1,000 kW types from ABB. The facility also features a supervisory control and data acquisition system from iPLON.

Located in the state of Maharashtra, the project represents the largest PV plant developed to date under a 25-year public-private partnership revenue sharing program with Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd.

‘The Baramati clean energy project is strengthening our partnership with the state of Maharashtra and advancing its utility-scale solar sector,’ says Vineet Mittal, vice president of Welspun Renewables.

Welspun Renewables has also recently commissioned the the 34 MW Bhatinda PV plant in Punjab, India.
