Ultrasonic Systems Inc. (USI) has introduced the PV360 – a production coating system for the application of solutions to photovoltaic wafers. The system features USI's proprietary nozzle-less spray technology, which provides a more uniform, thinner coating application than conventional spray technology, the company says.
The PV360 system applies a thin, uniform layer of phosphoric acid, phosphoric oxide and other proprietary coatings for the production of solar wafers. With a material transfer efficiency of up to 99%, this system delivers high-volume precision coating to wafers up to 36 inches (900 mm) in width, USI adds.
