Toronto-based Globe Solar Energy Inc. (GSE) says its IP-195 evacuated tube solar collector has achieved certification from CSA International, an organization focused on product testing and certification.
The IP-195 – an approved collector under Natural Resources Canada's ecoENERGY program and qualified for both commercial and residential incentives – is designed, engineered and assembled in Ontario according to Canadian codes and standards, the company says.
Employing vacuum-tube collecting technology, the IP-195 enables the conversion of more than 92% of sunlight into thermal energy for heating, according to GSE. The glycol-free systems can integrate with municipal water supplies without the use of pumps, and system installations feature no roof penetrations.
