The City of Toronto will receive three photovoltaic systems engineered by Carmanah Technologies that will feature locally manufactured Eclipsall solar modules. In all, the three properties will require a total of 1,040 Eclipsall NRG 60 solar panels.
Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited awarded Carmanah the contract to engineer, design and construct the three solar rooftop systems earlier this month. The first of the projects is a rooftop array on the McGregor Arena and Community Centre in Scarborough, Ontario. York Mills Arena and Mimico Arena in Etobicoke, Ontario, are the two other projects using Eclipsall panels.
The McGregor Arena project will total 75 kW and feature 390 of Eclipsall's NRG 60 polycrystalline 240 W panels. The project is currently under construction and will be completed by the end of the calendar year.
