Solar PV developer Ecoplexus Inc. has announced a 25 MW portfolio of projects under way across California. The projects are a combination of carport and ground-mounted installations, connecting behind-the-meter at a number of state facilities. The company says the generating systems will provide clean energy to power the facilities, offset greenhouse-gas emissions and reduce energy costs.
According to the company, the first 7 MW will be completed in August, while the remaining projects are scheduled to complete construction in spring 2017. The on-site facilities include state hospitals, military bases and a variety of other facilities.
“We are pleased to play a role in satisfying California’s growing demand for clean energy,” says John Gorman, CEO of Ecoplexus. “California has set a great example for other states to follow, and we are eager to support its efforts going forward.”
