ENF’s Survey Reveals Solar Installer’s Top Picks

0

According to a survey conducted by ENF Ltd., a global provider of information in the photovoltaic (PV) sector, installers rate SunPower as one of the top solar panel manufacturers and Kaco one of the best inverter manufacturers worldwide.

Installers were asked to name which brands of PV components they have purchased in the last 12 months, and rate the products for their quality and value. For the U.S., they rated OutBack's solar inverters, Direct Power and Water's solar mounting systems and Zomeworks' solar trackers number one.

The research also found that 49% of companies that were surveyed thought the cell brand in a panel was important, and the most commonly named cell brands that installation companies thought of as high quality are Sharp, Q-Cells and BP Solar. Another key finding was that the average price installers paid for their solar panels in 2006 was $4.16 per watt.
