SunPower Corp., a San Jose, Calif.-based designer and manufacturer of solar cells and panels for residential, commercial and remote power applications, has added two products to its line of solar inverters in the North American market – the SPR-3300x and SPR-4000x inverters. The inverters have a maximum AC power output of 3.3 kW and 4 kW, respectively.

Some of the benefits of using this line of inverters, the company says, are that the light-emitting diode (LED) indicator provides the system's status at a glance, the inverters are able to work with all of SunPower's modules and panels, and the mounting bracket allows for easy installation. The inverters come with a 10-year warranty as a standard feature.

In addition, SunPower has released the SPRx Inverter Monitor, which measures the efficiency of SunPower's solar-energy systems. The monitor connects to the SPRx-series inverters using a standard ethernet cable, and features an LCD screen to monitor a single-inverter or multi-inverter photovoltaic (PV) system.
