First Associates Loan Servicing, a consumer loan and lease servicer, says it has been selected by Green Grants to service its residential solar power lease portfolio.
The organization says it helps Louisiana homeowners benefit from federal and state tax credits to lower the costs of going green by 80%.
Historically, Louisiana homeowners were required to bear the up-front cost of solar projects and claim these credits at the end of the year against any tax liability. Green Grants says its leasing program covers the up-front cost and provides homeowners with solar power.
