Taylor & Associates PLLC, a central Phoenix-based law firm that specializes in injuries and disabilities, has installed a 60 kW solar electric system – making it one of the largest business-owned, grid-connected PV systems in the valley.
The system, which is located on a property served by Arizona Public Service Co. (APS), is expected to generate 110,000 kWh annually. APS has provided partial funding for the installation of the system and, because of this, will receive the renewable energy certificates generated by the system.
‘With the financial cooperation of APS, our initial investment will pay off over the next five to six years, which provides us with a long-term economic benefit as well as the satisfaction of benefiting our environment,’ says Richard Taylor, Taylor & Associates' principal.
The system was designed and constructed by Scottsdale, Ariz.-headquartered American Solar Electric Inc. using 288 SunPower SPR-215 PV modules.
