Mallinckrodt Baker Lab To Focus On Solar Photovoltaic Technologies

Mallinckrodt Baker, a business unit of Covidien that focuses on manufacturing high-purity chemistries for the microelectronics industry, has opened a new applications laboratory in Deventer, The Netherlands. The lab is designed to support the company's rapidly growing photovoltaic and integrated circuit businesses in Europe.

The new, state-of-the-art applications laboratory in Deventer serves as the primary support laboratory for Mallinckrodt Baker's PV business. The opening of the Deventer applications lab enhances Mallinckrodt Baker's ability to provide current and prospective microelectronics customers with timely consultation and product evaluation. It will also support product development efforts by industry leading scientists located in Europe.

‘The lab allows Mallinckrodt Baker to work with customers, tool suppliers, research institutions and material suppliers to provide applications support that will optimize our chemistries in each unique process,’ says Terry McGovern, global marketing director for microelectronics at Mallinckrodt Baker.
