Martifer Solar USA Inc., a designer and installer of PV systems, says it has received a funding block totaling nearly $3 million from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) as part of NYSERDA's Solar Electric Incentive Program.
The company, whose East Coast division is headquartered in Greenwich, Conn., plans to leverage the funds to enter the increasingly active New York solar market.
NYSERDA allocated a total of $30 million in grant money to eligible solar contractors through a competitive grant process. Martifer Solar was selected on the basis of its proven competence and professional qualifications, as well as its ability to deliver a high value and cost-effective use of state funding, the company says.
