Mastervolt Debuts New Solar Inverter, Switching Product

0

Mastervolt, an inverter manufacturer based in the Netherlands, has introduced a transformer-less inverter called SunMaster ES3.6TL. The inverter achieves a maximum output of 16 A (3.6 kW) and allows an entire PV array to be connected as a single string to the 900 V DC input.

This unique feature makes system planning straightforward and boosts yearly energy yield, according to the company. The low level of self-consumption by the inverter, combined with an intelligent start-up procedure, extends the daily operating hours by up to 40 minutes, the company adds. Outdoor installation is possible thanks to the IP65 housing.

In addition, Mastervolt has introduced EnergySwitch, which is designed to increase on-site consumption of solar power without battery systems. A simple application of this technology allows a solar photovoltaic system to generate hot water by activating an immersion heater in a hot water tank when excess power of the sun is available. The hot water is stored and can be used by the system owners when it is needed.
