Little Falls, N.J.-based battery technology development company mPhase/AlwaysReady Inc. anticipates entering the energy harvesting industry with its Smart NanoBattery, according to a press release.

‘Energy harvesting devices such as solar cells depend on external occurrences such as a sunny day, so they are not always available when power is needed. Because the Smart NanoBattery offers 'Power on Command,' it provides a convenient integrated power solution, where multiple power sources can work together, building on each of their technical strengths,’ according to mPhase CEO Ron Durando, ‘

AlwaysReady is focused on developing and commercializing a new battery technology based on a patented electrowetting process, the company adds.
