n-PASHA Awarded Technology And Equipment Order For Nexolon Project

0

The n-PASHA Alliance, consisting of RENA GmbH, the Energy Research Center of the Netherlands (ECN) and Tempress Systems Inc., has been selected by Nexolon America LLC to provide n-type technology and equipment to its photovoltaic cell production facility in San Antonio. n-PASHA says the 100 MW order represents the first phase of a planned 200 MW turnkey project for Nexolon.

According to n-PASHA, the n-type cells developed by ECN are used for bi-facial modules that generate electricity from light coming through both the front and rear side of the modules, increasing the amount of power than can be produced from solar farms. Additionally, the company says the n-type cells do not suffer from light-induced degradation.

Nexolon America broke ground on its San Antonio manufacturing facility in February. The $100 million plant will build solar panels CPS Energy's 400 MW solar farm.
