New Kyocera System To Combine Solar Power And Energy Storage

0

Kyocera Corp. and Nichicon Corp. have signed an agreement under which Kyocera will sell a new energy-management system that combines Kyocera's solar power generating systems with Nichicon's lithium-ion battery storage units.

Designed for the Japanese market, the new system is a response to the growing demand for residential energy-storage equipment following the Fukushima disaster, Kyocera says. The company will begin sales in Japan this summer.
