Fronius Introduces Galvo String Inverter For U.S. Residential Solar Market

0

Fronius USA has introduced its Galvo string inverter for the U.S. market. The system is intended as a residential solar inverter and incorporates Wi-Fi capabilities for performance monitoring through the Fronius SolarWeb monitoring portal and smartphone apps.

Fronius says the Galvo ships with embedded grid features that will meet evolving standards. The system supports various functions for controlling real and reactive power. Voltage and frequency-dependent power manipulation in periods of grid overload will prevent the inverter from switching off, relieving stress on the grid and regulating inverter energy yield. Modbus control of these functions enables integration into utility communications systems.

Installation and safety features include the SnapINverter hinged mounting system and integrated DC disconnect that locks the inverter to the mounting bracket during operation to avoid removal of the inverter under load.
