RES Launches Ohio Energy Storage Project

Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES) has launched its Willey Battery Storage project in Ohio.

RES has developed and will construct the 6 MW energy storage project, which will be owned by Sumitomo Corp. The project will include three containers of lithium-ion batteries manufactured by Toshiba and three Parker Hannifin inverters.

The Willey Battery Storage project will be used to provide frequency regulation service to grid operator PJM. RES Americas will also supply its RESolve management system.
