REC Group Shuffles Executive Leadership

Renewable Energy Corp. ASA (REC) has made several changes to its management structure.

CEO Ole Enger will remain in place until July 2014, per a new contract. However, after seven years with REC, Bjorn Brenna, executive vice president (EVP) and chief financial officer (CFO), has taken on a new position as CFO at Agra AS.

Kjell Christian Bjornsen has been appointed new EVP and CFO. Bjornsen joined REC in 2010 and previously served as vice president of strategy and business development. Prior to joining REC, he has worked in finance and strategy in aluminum extrusions (Sapa AB) and consumer goods (Orkla ASA) and as a management consultant (McKinsey).

After 11 years with REC, John Andersen Jr., EVP and chief operating officer, has resigned from REC to pursue other opportunities. Additionally, Mikkel Torud has been appointed senior vice president of investor relations and business development. In addition to investor relations and corporate communications, Torud will take on the responsibility for corporate initiatives related to business development and mergers and acquisitions.
