Report: Germany May Delay New Solar Feed-In-Tariff Cuts

0

The drastic reductions to Germany's solar feed-in-tariff (FIT) levels, which were scheduled to go into effect March 9, may be pushed back, according to some policymakers.

Georg Nuesslein, an energy spokesperson for the Christian Social Union, told Bloomberg that he and his party are seeking to delay the implementation date to at least April 1 for rooftop PV installations.

Chancellor Angela Merkel and her colleagues are also reportedly considering a revised ‘transitional’ solution for large-scale ground-mounted PV projects. These installations would no longer receive a FIT under the plans announced last week.
