Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc. (RES Canada) has inaugurated SunE Rutley, which the company says is Ontario's first large-scale solar feed-in-tariff (FIT) project. Ontario's FIT program was established in 2006 by the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) to stimulate investment in renewable energy projects in the province.

Located in Ingleside, Ontario, the 10 MW project was developed by SunEdison Canada. It features 436 solar panels covering approximately 100 acres. Electricity produced by SunE Rutley will feed into the Hydro One Network.

Construction of SunE Rutley began in August 2011 and was completed in early March 2012.
