0

Japan-based mobile phone carrier Softbank is planning to install PV on the roofs of 1,000 homes in the country.

Bloomberg reports that Sharp Corp. and Suntech Power Japan will provide the systems. The power generated will be sold to local utilities, and Softbank will pay approximately 15% of profits to the homeowners hosting the projects.

The total installed capacity is expected to reach approximately 4 MW.
