Attention, Kohl's shoppers in Visalia, Calif.: your department store will soon be powered by 2,160 solar powers generating 387 kW of energy per hour.

According to the Visalia Times-Delta, the store is expected to save 30% on energy costs during peak periods, and it is the first in a chain-wide switch to solar power: about 75% of Kohl's California stores are expected to switch to solar power in the near future.
