Solar3D Inc., a California-based provider of solar power solutions, has changed its name to Sunworks Inc. and says the rebranding unifies the company’s operations under a set of common corporate values, goals and commitments. The company will now be traded under the NASDAQ ticker symbol “SUNW.”

“The new name, Sunworks, and corporate rebranding provide us with a common corporate identity and go-to-market presence that better reflects who we are as a company and creates a platform for continued growth and market expansion, supporting our outlook for 100 percent revenue growth in 2016,” says James Nelson, CEO of Sunworks.

The company says it initiated its blended, long-term growth strategy in 2014 with the acquisition of Solar United Networks (SUNworks), then of MD Energy and Elite Solar.

“By shifting our primary focus from technology development to solar integration, we expect to continue to grow profitably by providing residential and commercial customers with tailored solutions that make owning solar easier, more reliable and cost-effective,” adds Nelson.
