Southwest Windpower, a Flagstaff Arizona-based producer of small-scale wind turbines, has been named a ‘Company to Watch’ by Ron Pernick and Clint Wilder, authors of The Clean Tech Revolution.

The book identifies the ten companies in eight clean-technology industry sectors that bear watching for future growth and industry influence, Southwest Windpower says, adding that it was the sole small wind manufacturer selected for this honor.

The Clean Tech Revolution highlights the eight major clean-tech sectors that, according to the authors, offer the best near- to mid-term opportunity: solar energy, wind power, biofuels and biomaterials, green buildings, personal transportation, the smart grid, mobile applications and water filtration.
