SunEdison Says Plans For Japan Not Yet Final

MEMC Electronic Materials Inc., parent company of SunEdison, says its plans for the Japanese solar market are ‘not yet firm,’ due to uncertain project economics. Recent mainstream media reports had indicated that SunEdison's Japanese entry was definite.

Feed-in-tariff rates have not been determined by Japanese officials; therefore, neither project pricing nor project costs can be known at this time, MEMC says. As a result, the size of SunEdison's future investment in solar project development in Japan, if any, has not yet been determined.
