SunPower To Supply 96.4 MW For Eurus Energy Solar Plants In Japan

SunPower Corp. will supply 69 MW of its E20/327 solar panels to Shimizu Corp. for installation at the Eurus Energy large-scale solar power plant project in the village of Rokkasho in Japan. Shimizu will act as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) provider for the project, which is owned by a subsidiary of the Eurus Energy Group. It is scheduled for commercial operation in the second half of 2015.

SunPower will also supply 27.4 MW of its E20/327 solar panels to Obayashi Corp. for installation at an Eurus Energy solar power plant project in Toyokoro, Japan. Obayashi will act as EPC for the project, which is scheduled for commercial operation in 2015.

SunPower photovoltaic products are sold under the Maxeon Solar brand in Japan.
