Trina Supplies Honey PV Modules For 900 kW Project

0

Trina Solar Ltd. has provided its multicrystalline PC05A Honey modules for a 900 kW rooftop PV installation in Luthern, Switzerland.

The system, deployed on the roofs of Sagewerke Christen AG's production and storage buildings, is expected to produce up to 6,000 kWh of solar energy per day. This makes the company the first self-sufficient and carbon-neutral sawmill in Switzerland, according to Trina.

The 6,000 square-meter PV array is made up of 3,576 multicrystalline solar panels rated at 260 W each. The modules are integrated into the roof and thus provide weather protection for the building, while ready-made aluminium plates ensure a waterproof connection between the individual modules, Trina adds.

The project was developed by Küsnacht, Switzerland-based SunTechnics Fabrisolar AG.
