Vivint Solar has joined the Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA), the national nonprofit trade group representing all sectors of the U.S. solar energy industry, as a member company on the board of directors.
As a SEIA member, Vivint Solar will play a ‘significant role in advocating for solar energy by helping to shape federal policy and will strengthen the industry by collaborating on ways to remove market barriers at the state level,’ the company says.
‘We are pleased to join SEIA and to contribute our unique voice to the important conversation of making solar energy more accessible and accepted,’ says Brendon Merkley, chief operating officer of Vivint Solar.
Vivint Solar first began performing solar installations in New Jersey and has since expanded into California, Hawaii and Massachusetts.
