The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has initiated a new international campaign calling for investment in renewable energy to increase by at least $40 billion over the next 12 months.
WWF says its Seize Your Power campaign will seek major public commitments from governments and international financial institutions to make new investments in the wind, solar and other renewable energy sectors. The public campaign will be featured in more than 20 countries, where WWF is targeting public finance, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.
