Vancouver, British Columbia-headquartered Xantrex Technology Inc., a power conversion products provider with offices throughout the U.S., has received a $1.7 million purchase order from SunEdison LLC, a Baltimore-based solar system designer and installer.

The supply agreement is for Xantrex's grid-tied commercial solar inverters. According to the companies, the initial shipments will begin during the first quarter of 2007.

‘We chose Xantrex after a comprehensive assessment of its product, and we are confident in their commitment to deliver high quality, reliable and efficient inverters for our growing customer base,’ says Brian Jacolick, SunEdison's vice president of sales and procurement.
