Houston-based Yellowstone Capital Partners LLC has formed and launched its second alternative and renewable energy fund, Yellowstone Energy Ventures II LP. The company notes that it has substantially completed its investment program relative to its first alternative and renewable energy fund, Yellowstone Energy Ventures LP, which was launched in 2004.
Both venture funds are focused primarily on early-stage investments in solar and other renewable energy technologies. Yellowstone says it is targeting $50 million of commitments for the new fund and anticipates an initial close of outside investors early this year.
