China-based PV module manufacturer Yingli Solar has announced the launch of three new module series in the U.S.

The company says its Yingli Smart Module Series, certified by Underwriters Laboratory (UL), is ideal for the residential and commercial market segments and features integrated module-level power optimizers produced by SolarEdge.

Meanwhile, Yingli says its TwinMAX 60-cell module is a frameless panel consisting of two layers of 2.5 mm-thick semi-tempered glass, which replaced the conventional back sheet and glass structure. As the backside makes use of the reflected light from the surroundings, the modules can yield up to 30% more power, depending on the albedo, according to the company. Ideal for harsh environment conditions, TwinMAX modules carry a 30-year linear warranty.

Built with P-type monocrystalline cells, Yingli says its UL-certified YLM Series offers high conversion efficiency and high-transmission glass with an anti-reflective coating that directs more light on the solar cells, resulting in a higher energy yield. YLM Series modules are available in both 60-cell and 72-cell configurations, which the company says enhances the series’ versatility for applications ranging from residential and commercial projects to large-scale power plants.

Yingli says it will introduce the three new module series to the U.S. market at Solar Power International, which is taking place in Las Vegas in September.
