Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd. has supplied 10 MW of multicrystalline PV modules to Solarcentury Holdings Ltd. in the U.K.

Under the terms of the agreement, Yingli is the sole supplier of the project and completed the delivery of approximately 40,000 PV modules at the end of February. These modules will be installed on the Isle of Sheppey, which is located approximately 53 miles east of London.

The project will produce approximately 10,000 MWh of electricity per year, Yingli notes.

The plant is being acquired by the Bluefield Solar Income Fund (BSIF), the first U.K. solar-focused fund listed on the London Stock Exchange, says Yingli. BSIF has acquired GBP140 million of large-scale solar assets in the U.K. since July 2013 and is advised by Bluefield Partners LLP.
