19 MW Queen Creek Solar Farm Now Operating In Arizona

PSEG Solar Source says the 19 MW Queen Creek solar project in Queen Creek, Ariz., has begun commercial operation.

Salt River Project has a 20-year agreement to acquire all of the solar energy generated by the project and has begun accepting power from the plant. The project, located on 148 acres of land approximately 30 miles southeast of Phoenix, contains approximately 90,000 crystalline panels operating on a single-axis tracking system. It is owned by PSEG Solar Source, a subsidiary of PSEG.Â

juwi solar Inc. (JSI) developed the project and served as engineering, procurement and construction contractor. JSI will also provide operation and maintenance services for the project.Â
