Astronergy, a Chint company, has entered into an agreement to invest in solar farms in Thailand with Solar Park Co. Ltd.
Located in Saraburi province, 100 km north of Bangkok, the PV plants have a combined total capacity of 5.5 MW. All of the plants will incorporate polycrystalline PV modules from Astronergy, inverters from Chint Power System Co. Ltd. and balance-of-system components from other Chint subsidiaries.
These projects are expected to generate up to 8.8 GWh annually, according to Astronergy. Commercial operation is expected by Dec. 30.
