AU Optronics Corp., a global display and solar solutions provider, says its solar business will now be known as BenQ Solar, as authorized by BenQ Corp.
‘The focus of the PV market has gradually shifted from developing large utility projects toward commercial and residential markets. In Europe, the U.S. and Japan, solar products have become consumer products,’ says K.Y. Lee, chairman of BenQ Group. ‘With the support of BenQ's well-established brand equity and global sales and service platform, BenQ Solar will rapidly expand its business and earn customer trust.’
BenQ Solar says it has established a solar value chain for high-efficiency solar modules. The company has also launched an AC product called the Unison solar solution, which includes a micro-inverter integrated with the solar module, and is equipped with a monitoring system.
