BJ’s Wholesale Club Partners With Tioga Energy For Additional PV Arrays

0

BJ's Wholesale Club plans to add four new solar photovoltaic systems to its roster through a partnership with Tioga Energy, a supplier of renewable energy services to commercial, government and nonprofit institutions. BJ's has previously installed 12 rooftop installations in six states.

The first two new rooftop systems, which are currently under construction at clubs in Leominster and South Attleboro, Mass., are scheduled for completion next month, with two additional projects in New Jersey to be completed in this summer. The systems will be installed and financed through power purchase agreements with Tioga.

With these new installations online, BJ's will have more than 2,000 kW of solar power. The Leominster and South Attleboro installations are sized at 308 kW and 344 kW, respectively, and the New Jersey installations will provide 409 kW and 500 kW. Spire Corp. is the construction partner for the installations.
