Canadian Solar Modules Chosen For Leeward Islands Project

Canadian Solar Inc. says its modules will be used for a solar project in the Leeward Islands nation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Antigua-based Comet Solar is installing the 600 kW project, which encompasses eight buildings. S. L. Horsford is managing the project.

‘This project is our largest to date, with the challenge of having a remote location, a range of building types from steel buildings to concrete roofs and a mix of British and American electrical systems and voltages," says Comet Solar owner Chris Mason.

‘We are pleased to be selected by Comet Solar for this exciting installation, which will directly help the business owner to reduce its high electricity bill due to refrigeration, air conditioning and other constant energy demands compounded by the high temperatures in the region,’ says Canadian Solar Chairman and CEO Shawn Qu.
