Hamburg, Germany-based Conergy says it will launch its Conergy ON modules in the Canadian PV market this month.
The increased demand for locally produced solar components in 2010 has repeatedly led to module shortages and uncertainties over quality in Ontario, according to the company. Through a two-year framework agreement with a manufacturing partner based in Ontario, Conergy has secured production capacity for the Conergy ON modules, thus offering its dealers and installers long-term planning security.
‘It is crucial to Conergy that we can guarantee our customers a dependable volume of Conergy ON modules,’ says Jared Donald, head of Conergy Canada. The modules meet domestic-content requirements for Ontario's feed-in-tariff program, Conergy adds.
